                  Toffee Apples
- RECIPE MAKES: 5 toffee apples
 - COOK TIME: 10 minutes
 
              Method
            
            
          Step 1
                  
        Place the apples in a large bowl and cover with boiling water (this will remove the waxy coating).
          Step 2
                  
        Using a slotted spoon carefully remove the apples from the water and dry.
          Step 3
                  
        Push a lollipop stick into the stalk end of each apple.
          Step 4
                  
        Heat the sugar and 100mls of water in a pan over a medium heat.
          Step 5
                  
        Cook for 5 minutes or until the sugar dissolves and then add the vinegar and the golden syrup.
          Step 6
                  
        To test that the toffee syrup is ready, pour a teaspoon of it into a glass of cold water and if it hardens instantly its ready.
          Step 7
                  
        Holding the lollipop stick, carefully dip each apple into the toffee syrup and coat evenly. Then place each apple on a lined baking tray.
          Step 8
                  
        Allow to set in the fridge and serve.

        - 5 Apples, destalked
 - 400g Golden caster sugar
 - 1 tsp Vinegar
 - 4 tbsp Golden syrup
