Combine rice wine, soy sauce, sugar, and salt in a small bowl.
Heat medium sized frying pan or flat wok over high heat, until a bead of water vaporizes within 2secs of contact. Add vegetable oil and garlic, stir-fry 5secs. Add lettuce, stir-fry 2min. Stir in rice wine mixture, stir fry further 1min, until lettuce is just tender and bright green.
Remove from heat, drizzle sesame oil over top, serve hot.
Try using bok choy instead of lettuce if you prefer.
This dish is wonderfully delicious and healthy. Try serving with low protein rice for a complete meal.
A lovely, light summer meal option.
