Simple Banana Bread

  • RECIPE MAKES: One loaf (12 slices)/ each slice | <0.3g protein
  • PREP TIME: 15 Mins
  • COOK TIME: 60 Mins
Step 1

Pre-heat oven to 180°C. Grease a loaf tin and line with baking paper.

Step 2

Using electric beaters, cream together margarine, sugar, and essence until pale and fluffy.

Step 3

Beat in banana and milk/lemon juice mix.

Step 4

Quickly stir in remaining ingredients. Pour mixture into the tin, bake 60 mins. or until a skewer inserted comes out clean.

Step 5

Cool cake in tin, 5 mins., turn onto a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.

  • 125g softened margarine
  • 1 ½ cups brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 240g mashed banana (4 very small bananas)
  • ½ cup rice milk or ProZero mixed with 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 250g Fate Low Protein All-Purpose Mix
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp each cinnamon, nutmeg
  • 2 tsp egg replacer
