Place FATE mix, sugar, butter, baking powder, and bicarbonate soda into a mixing bowl. Using your fingers, rub butter into dry ingredients, until evenly distributed; mixture will be grainy.
Whisk in low protein milk alternative gradually, until a smooth batter is formed.
Heat 1 tsp oil of the oil in a non-stick frying pan over a medium heat.
Add a ladle; ⅓ of the batter to the pan. Cook until top of pancake begins to bubble, flip over, cook this side further min, until just browned.
Repeat steps 3 and 4, with remaining oil and batter.
