
Jammy Biscuits
- RECIPE MAKES: 5 Biscuits
- PREP TIME: 10 Minutes
- COOK TIME: 20 Minutes
Preheat the oven to 200°C/180°C fan/gas mark 6.
Place the Fate Low Protein All-Purpose Mix, custard powder, sugar and margarine into a mixing bowl and using a spatula, mix well until a dough forms.
Rest for 5 minutes.
Cover a baking tray with greaseproof paper.
Between two sheets of greaseproof paper roll out the dough to 3cm thickness.
Cut 10 hearts out of the dough using the large heart cutter and place on the baking tray.
Using the smaller cutter, cut the centre out of 5 of the biscuits. You should have 5 solid heart shaped bottoms and 5 biscuits with cut out heart-shaped centres.
Bake for 20 minutes.
Using a spatula, remove shortbread from the baking tray and leave to cool on a wire rack.
Spread a thin layer of jam on the bottom of the solid heart shaped biscuits. Then place the biscuits with the cut-out centres on top.

- 200g Fate Low Protein All-Purpose Mix (plus extra for dusting)
- 40g Custard powder
- 70g Sugar (plus 2tbsp for dusting)
- 160g Margarine
- 100g Seedless jam of your choice
- Optional: 20g Icing sugar
