Jam Sponge

  • RECIPE MAKES: 2 portions
  • COOK TIME: 35 minutes
  1. Preheat oven to 180°C/fan 160°C/gas mark 5.
  2. Cream together the sugar and margarine in a bowl.
  3. Add the Fate Low Protein All-Purpose Mix and the baking powder and rub together with your fingertips until it resembles breadcrumbs.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix together the ProZero, egg replacer and vanilla essence.
  5. Add the ProZero mixture to the dry mixture and mix until well combined.
  6. Pour the jam into the bottom of the lined baking tin and then pour cake the batter on top.
  7. Bake in the oven for 25 minutes.
