Black Forest Gâteau

Step 1

Preheat oven to 190°C/fan 170°C/gas mark 5.

Step 2

In a large bowl; mix together the Fate Low Protein Chocolate Flavour Cake Mix, soft margarine and water until smooth.

Step 3

Pour the mix into the loaf tin and bake for 40 minutes or until skewer inserted into the centre of the loaf comes out clean.

Step 4

Remove from the oven and allow to cool.

Step 5

Cut the sponge into 2 layers and set the top aside.

Step 6

Spread half the icing on the bottom half of the sponge and top with 150g Princes black cherry fruit filling.

Step 7

Top with the other half of the sponge.

Step 8

Decorate the top with the remaining icing and black cherry filling.

Serving Suggestion:
Top with grated Vitabite.
